2024 "Birthday" Nouveau

 This year my birthday falls on Nouveau Day and so I made a nouveau named “Birthday”. This young, fresh, low alcohol, crystal clear red with a super slight fizz is made 100% Niagara Fredonia. The vines are over 100 years old which describes the historical identity of this grape and our wine-growing history in Ontario. Before vinifera, Ontario was a grape-growing and wine-making region that was making wines only from gapes like these for a few hundred years. Carbonic whole cluster fermented in stainless steel. 

Zero sulphur additions. Unfined, unfiltered. Dry. 8% alc./vol.
